New Years Resolutions

The whole “losing weight” thing doesn’t work for me. I don’t do it. I love food (see also: carbs) way to much. Being an athlete in college was a blessing - I was forced to work out twenty hours a week and had eight girls needing me to be my skinniest because they would have to row my ass around even if I wasn’t.

I love to cook and could live on bagels (I even made them myself this weekend because I was too lazy to go to the store…and I don’t know if I’ll ever buy them again, they were so good. Thanks, Emeril.) So instead of the ‘lose-weight’ resolution, I pretty much mentally commit to two triathlons (sprint ones) and a duathlon (1.2 mi swim and 56 mi bike). I haven’t signed up yet, and may not be able to do one because of the timing, but I’ll at least do two of them this year. And I’m too much of a baby to wing it and not train for them, so here I come pavement and pool.

Hold me to it, y’all.
